Is PIU accredited?

Pacific Islands University is nationally accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) 15935 Forest Road, Forest, VA 24551; Telephone: (434) 525-9539; e-mail: info@tracs.org, having been awarded Reaffirmation II Status as a Category III institution by the TRACS Accreditation Commission on November 5, 2019. This status is effective for a period of ten years.

Does PIU offer financial aid?

PIU is approved to offer federal student aid. You will need to apply for financial aid through FAFSA, which is used to determine your eligibility for aid. PIU’s FAFSA school code is 034383. Learn More

How quickly can I finish my degree?

Our students typically finish their associates degree in two years and their bachelor’s degree in four years. Students who take summer courses or a heavier fall or spring load can finish sooner.

Do all my existing credits transfer to PIU?

PIU accepts up to 60 credits for transfer after a thorough review is made to maximize your transfer credits.

What degree programs are available?

PIU offers several Associate’s and Bachelor’s degrees designed to prepare you the impact the lives of others.  Those include:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies
  • Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies
  • Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies
  • Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies

Diploma programs include:

  • Diploma in Bible Studies

When can I start classes?

Classes start three times a year at the beginning of each semester (August, January, and May).
