The Pacific Islands University sponsored Bible Run Around the Island took place on January 2, 2012. The event started at 6am at Talofofo with two groups carrying a Bible, one along a northern route and the other taking a southern route, as they ran the perimeter of Guam. Along the way, participants and supporters were encouraged to pray for the island of Guam, our families and the government. Local churches, groups, and organizations participated to carry the Bible for one or more miles. The event culminated at Ipao beach with a performance by PIU’s Voices of Micronesia and a closing ceremony at 4pm.Below are the routes with participating groups or individuals:
